As I continue to test out my theory on how gluten is connected to my psoriasis, I've found a plethora of materials online! Over the last weeks, I've been asking myself, where I have been?, why didn't I look this up sooner?, and WHY DIDN'T ANY OF MY DERMATOLOGISTS EVER MENTION THIS!? This all started for me because I did a fitness challenge at my gym and there was a lot of talk about gluten.
I tried cutting gluten out of my diet to see what it could do for my physical and mental health, not even considering my psoriasis as being part of my "physical health". Silly me. Little did I know I was going to see a difference in my skin. I really do think this it is making a difference. For example, it has been about a week without gluten and yesterday I accidentally ate some that had gluten in it. This morning I could tell my psoriasis was inflamed. The more I learn, the more I go back to the old saying, "You are what you eat". Check this article out:
